Re: Setting up a GPi

Easiest solution. Get a pi zero W. Other option you'll need to get some sort of wifi dongle to add wifi, then add ROMs and install the scripts. I would get the pi set you before you put it in the GPi in that case. Or download a pre made image so you don't need to install the scripts. To add ROMs you...

Yeah I think those 51 pin screens are hard to come by nowadays. Last I checked all I could find were those 31 pin ones you mentioned.

You could grab an original gaboze round 1 board which uses an 18 pin 2.4" ili9341 screen. Easier to find for sure.

Re: AIO 2.2 Borard by Helder

Yeah I have those connected. And have you confirmed that the connections are not bridged on the pi side? They are very close together and easy to bridge. (Use a multimeter to confirm to know for sure). Also make sure they are connected to the proper pads. As seen in my photo. Newer pi's don't have ...

Re: AIO 2.2 Borard by Helder

What data connections from the Pi to the Board? I was under the impression that, that was the whole reason I bought the board, so I would not have to make all the connections for each button. The data connections on helders board are labelled as INPUT D+ and D-. Those need to be connected to the pi...

It does have that! Thank you, I looked up a couple of videos based on your suggestion and then went back to wermy's guide. That actually makes perfect sense. Thanks again!
Glad I could help!

Re: Multimeter Readings for GBZ Button Trace Inputs

Does your multimeter have a continuity setting with an audible beep? If so, that will be helpful. If you have that, place one probe from the multimeter on one side of the wire you want to test (actually place the multimeter on the pad the wire is connected to), and place the other probe on the other...

There is a board they actually made to upgrade the round ones to the 2.6". But fair warning, the 2.6" screen is becoming harder and harder to find.

I didn't realize there was a companion board. Cool.

Re: gaboze pacio original better screen?

You can't use a gaboze v2 screen on the original v1. Totally different connections. 18 pin ribbon on the v1 versus the 52 pin cable on the v2. They also use totally different video drivers. And are a different physical size (2.4" vs 2.6"). You may be able to make it work. But you'd need to do a lot ...
