Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

Hi thanks for your answer! Nope we could not test the screen before. The 3,3 V are to the button board of the screen. 5V are on the VGA Board as shown on the board (attachment). What do you mean with test pad? The Image on Raspi works (tested with hdmi). Also inserted display_mode=3 for testing in ...

Tired to change source but the screen just does not power on. The VGA Board has 5V and on the Controller Board f...

Re: broke gearbest screen ???

i have no idea if you broke it. You will need to power it up and test it to see if it works. No one will be able to tell from the picture. Also, why were you attempting to remove anything? That screen should not need any modifications to run on 5V or 12V. And no, you will likely not be able to find ...

Re: Awful At Soldering To Pi

Well I did some close inspecting and noticed that the Data + and 5V pads on the Tinkerboy had been bridged with a poor solder job. I just refluxed, sucked the solder and re did the solders and it works!! Also your idea of resetting ES controls worked as well. So now I have a working GBZ with workin...

Re: Awful At Soldering To Pi

Hmm. If USB isnt working I would assume the soldering for the data connection is not great. Do you have any pictures? And since you're not using his image on the custom image you made you'd need to remap the controls maybe? Clear the defaults and reboot, see if you can remap them. The controller is ...
