One thing I am not seeing here is how are you going to mount the bracket for the top screws?
Check out my build page to see the hook system I came up with to replace the screw posts.

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

I saw you are using an RPi2, have you tested this display on a RPi0? I'm curious if there is any performance impact. I just used the Pi2 for the demo since I had several of them and can connect the display easily (the headphone jack is actually a TRRS connector which supports composite video + audi...

Re: USB Hub

There's no connection for that on the underside of the Pi so hopefully we don't need to use it! Can anyone confirm we're okay ignoring that wire? Or should we run it to ground perhaps? Now that I have mine hooked up I can confirm that we don't need that 5th ID pin. I didn't bother running it to gro...

Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

Does this add any benefit when playing games on retropie? I thought all the content was 320x240 ... if it gets up-scaled by this display, is the quality noticeably better than with a "normal" screen? If its not the display, but the pi0 that is doing the up-scaling, I wonder if it has a performance ...

Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

Unfortunately no. If you do "display_rotate=2" then when you plug in the HDMI it will also be rotated. Right, but I'm saying that you don't need display_rotate at all, IF you don't have to flip your screen inside the GB. I have room in mine for the ribbon to go at the bottom, but it just seemed a l...

Mad_Duke and dirtybeagles you only need display_rotate=2 if you mount your screen "upside down" (ribbon cable at the top). If you can mount it with the ribbon cable at the bottom then no need to rotate at all. :)

Re: Actual wiring diagram

So, I think we may have found the smoking gun here guys. Let me tell you what I have experienced without the wifi dongle... 1. Zero distortion from the sound. I have great sound quality now!! so happy. 2. My display seems to not have jitter anymore. Woot! 3. The PowerBoost is not getting as hot any...

Re: Actual wiring diagram

Really? I was judging this on what components a wifi dongle is made up of. That is crazy if it is what is causing it. I'll retract my statement and say, "test away!" Yeah, here's a thread on Wifi dongle power usage over at the RPi forums: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11184 One...
