Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

I found a cheap-ish full resolution 640x480 screen on ebay for $85. I posted it here originally: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=120#p1351 It ended up being $101.59 with shipping. I figured it would be a month before it got here, but I purchased it on 5/11 and it just arrived this m...

Re: [PREORDER] Game Boy Cart Micro SD Card Boards

Question: will we be able to mod the cartridge case to access the micro SD card, or will it be fully enclosed? Meaning we'll have to take the screws out and open the cart to swap out the SD card?

Looks way more compact that the USB hub that wermy used in his build. If you don't need an actual female socket and just want to wire boards together from their USB connections this seems like the most compact way to do it.

Re: USB Audio, switching between speaker and jack

I've wondered about this myself for years. Apparently the common way is via a special "switch contact connector" built into some stereo jacks. See the 3rd answer down here for an image: http://www.instructables.com/answers/How-do-I-make-a-headphone-jack-cancel-the-output-o/ I don't know if this is t...

Use original DC power jack for charging

I'm planning on keeping the case as stock as possible and am planning on reusing the DC charging jack and tapping that into the PowerBoost. I figured I'd have to make a custom USB-to-DC jack adapter but these guys have the exact thing we'd need! http://www.nintendorepairhut.com/accessories/gamboyand...

Re: Need some thoughts!

I got the Niceshopping screen from Amazon and I saw the same flickering behavior when hooking it up to 5v. I had to go up to 6v to get the screen to be stable. :( Do you have a 6V+ power supply handy? You could also hook up 4 AA batteries in series and use that to test. This gadget should be able to...

Re: Providing GBZ LED Status by using Fiber Optics

I actually had this same idea in the car this morning and came on here to post it! Looks like great minds think alike. ;)

How were you planning to glue the fiber to the LED? I've seen mentions of CA (super glue), epoxy, Elmers, rubber cement...

Also, here's a nice OTG hub if you want to test some stuff out before soldering: http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Powered-C ... B00LTHBCNM
