Found some ultra low-profile USB OTG adapters

Looks like this is about as small as you can get! If you only need a single USB device connected this thing might be perfect: http://www.amazon.com/Readeel-2-Pack-ad ... B014IT6ASO

Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

Here's some light bedside reading for you. I found the spec sheet on that video screen http://www.vslcd.com/Specification/PD035VX2.pdf You are a gentleman (gentlewoman?) and a scholar! Thank you much! Yeah it definitely recommends 9V for the backlight, but I wonder if there's a step-up voltage regu...

Actually that's just the driver board—it doesn't include the screen!

But great to know the voltage, thanks!

Holy cow that price! I wonder if there are any quantity requirements for that one?

If this board works it seems like it would be a no-brainer for use in the GBZ!

Re: Adjust volume on adafruit audio amplifier with additional adjust wheel

I would worry that the resistance value of the GB volume pot is different than the Adafruit one. If Ada is 10k and the GB is 20k does that mean the max volume will be half of the max of the built in pot? Or maybe just that the volume will be twice as sensitive as the built in one (turning the GB kno...

Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

Did you find anything that hints towards it's power consumption? No, but assuming it doesn't include any additional info in the box, and I can't pick up any hints from the components on the board, I'll hook up my variable power supply at maybe 9v and cross my fingers! Most of these displays seem to...

Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

Here is this display (640x480) on eBay. I asked the seller for the dimensions of the screen inside the body. $21 US Dollars. http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-TFT-LCD-Color-Screen-Car-Rear-View-Monitor-DVD-DVR-HD-640X480-resolution-AV-/331729506573?hash=item4d3c9e910d:g:gzoAAOSw3ydVpLDf Isn't this about ...

Helder's PCB: order your own! Or group buy?

I don't mean to steal Helder's thunder, but there seems to be a huge demand for his PCB and since it's open source I uploaded it to OSHPark here: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/iXzXGWbt https://644db4de3505c40a0444-327723bce298e3ff5813fb42baeefbaa.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/1c2db0e4a45be13cc5bb0a036e3...

Re: 4 button ABXY common ground PCB now available at kitsch-bent

Hmmm... the pads for the X and Y buttons look pretty far away vertically from A and B...wonder if they're going to run into the bottom of the display?
