Re: Circuit Sword buttons issue

Hm, nothing clear there then.. i think it might be best to send me an email (kite@kiteretro.com) and I'll give you the return details and I'll take a look. I'm suspecting something to do with how the buttons are read by the microcontroller and there there is a hardware fault preventing it working!

Re: [PRE-ORDER] Circuit Sword, Circuit Sword Lite + Circuit Gem - CLOSED

The important specs are: Sunlight readable 640x480 3.5" 40P LCD The most important is the 40P connector. There are some that are basically the same but in a 39P, you must have a 40P connector :) there are many part numbers for the same panel, and that string above is what they are commonly described...

Re: Circuit Sword buttons issue

Hi, could you plug in a keyboard and run 'jstest /dev/input/js0' and see what the output is? You might be better off doing something like 'sudo jstest /dev/input/js0 > /boot/jstest.txt' so that it appears on the SD card as 'jstest.txt'

Re: Failing to boot

This can happen if the screen bracket is not super glued or epoxy glued. If you are using hot glue it will very slowly move over time and could pull the sd slot (check where it aligns on the outside and if the plastic ends up pushing it). If any of that makes sense!

Re: USB power issues?

When it does this, could you do the mode combo to disable wifi, wait 10 secs, and then mode combo to enable wifi? After doing that (and it doesn't work) could you collect the log files? https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sw ... -log-files

Re: CM3 Rockerswitch not working

Haha no problem :) i'm glad that it was something simple! It's not well documented (or even at all really) so don't worry about it! :D

There is also a pin on the opposite side, solder that too (its only purpose is to provide physical support for the switch)

Re: kite circuit sword boot problem

Just behind the SD slot between the CM3 module is an LED "USBHUB" which is not on, this is your problem :) could you please remove the CM3 and clean the connector on the module itself, and then re-insert firmly but securely and power on. Perhaps try a couple of times until the USBHUB LED comes on (i...
