You need a mosfet with logic level gate. :) Something like a IRF510 or IRF520.

Can you post some pictures so we can better help you? GNDs, no matter where you connect to them for your L and R are all the same.

Do you have any activity on the ACT LED on the Pi Zero? Are you using a composite screen or HDMI screen?

Clean the contact pads on the pcb board. If the issue persists then try another silicon pads like VeteranGamer has mentioned. Also make sure the screws are not too tight.

Was it working before the build? Try rebooting your wifi router. Otherwise, try a new installation/sdcard.

Thanks for the suggestion, that could really be the case since I've been using a 2.0A rated charger. I also noticed that it wasn't the coil but the Qi PCB that got hot. Would you suggest going lower than 1.0A? Yes it’s the charging base and not the coil. I’m just using a 500ma power adapter. You ca...

I think most of these cheap wireless chargers are not really meant to handle high current charging. So I tested it with a low current(slow charging) microusb cable and it seems to work fine with...
