Re: Whitch screen is easiest to use July 2017

I bought two of these BW screens from Amazon and both works just fine.

And another one from Aliexpress which is better than the two BW Screens. Consumes less current and works with 5V out of the box.

The 5v mod on all these screens are very easy.

tinkerBOY's first Game Boy Zero build - from the Philippines

Here is my first Game Boy Zero build. I'm using the GPIO pins for the buttons instead of the teensy which I think is very easy to setup. 1) Have the pot after the amp output. This will only give mono sound to both headphone jack and speaker. Yep, this is what I did. You only get mono in headphones, but I never wind up using that so I didn't mind. The pot controls the volume on both headphone jack and speaker. You can still get stere...

GBZ Temperature after playing for 30 minutes onward

I'm just wondering how hot does your gameboy zero gets after playing for 30 minutes onward? I get around 63 degree Celsius. Is this normal?

You can check yours by entering this command:

Code: Select all

vcgencmd measure_temp

Re: Power disipation

Its better to charge first before playing. Otherwise you need a heatsink and a fan to dissipate the heat.
