Did you test the pi before you did this?

You don't have to connect the green and white wires from the usb cable as long as the wires you soldered are 5v (red) and ground (black). Test it with a multimeter.

Video - you just need to connect one video wire to the tv pin on the pi. Disconnect the white. Power - looks like your screen is being powered by the 3.3v on the pi but you connected it to the 5v pin on the screen chip. - Try to connect a 5v power supply to it instead. - desolder the red wire on the...

The Pngview icon will not appear on the Emulationstation homescreen but appears just fine on any games. Any ideas why?
