Re: JB Weld, Gorilla Glue, or something else?

Yeah, HoolyHoo has designed some glue free brackets for power and mode switch, the screen glass I've used has adhesive tape already, I use E6000 for smaller parts like the speaker, and gorilla brand 2 part epoxy for the screen bracket.

Re: Securing Kite's USB/HDMI Board - Recommendations?

Yes it will be okay like that. The HoolyHoo bracket will push it down and sandwich the board between the two pieces of the shell. I built three so far using kites circuit sword and have not had a problem. Personally, I use epoxy to secure the screen in place. Be careful not to build it up too much a...

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword - Kodi Navigation

You raise a good point. Do you already have kodi installed and function but just need the controller set up for the kodi navigation?

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword - Kodi Navigation

I can't recall anyone posting about actually doing this. In theory it sounds great and I'm sure iys possible somehow, but it's kinda like how NASA spent millions developing a pen that would write in space and then the Russians just used a pencil.... it may not be worth the time and effort :?

Re: Securing Kite's USB/HDMI Board - Recommendations?

That top screw should be sufficient, provided you have the correct screen bracket or installed the right screw post correctly. Once closed and tightened, the shell will hold the top of that PCB just fine. If you are still having troubles, please include some photos. That will make it easier for any ...

The green light should be off when battery is 100% charged.
As far as reading the text at the bottom of the menu, you could try adjusting the resolution or try a different theme. Personally, I've just learned to live with it it doesn't bother me

thanks fr the critism Don't take it personally, dude. It's just that a lot of the topics you've started are redundant and some would be more suited for the discord chats. Your enthusiasm is a good thing, but some self-vetting would be appreciated. Please don't be shy about asking important question...

Re: Filament question

I prefer to print PETG over ABS, it doesn't smell as much and the warping/ bed adhesion seems better. PLA is the easiest to work with in my opinion, but doesn't seem to have the same strength and durability.

Re: Thumbs Up ORB Gaming - Any mods for this guy?

You may even be able to print a "spacer" to go between the two halves of the shell. With some jumpers to the go on the pi, it might be minimal mods.
