Re: MintyPi won't turn off??

I'm having the same issue that everyone else has described here. Everything except holding the power button just causes the system to restart and not shutdown. I've tried updating the mintyPi image but unfortunately, that didn't change anything. If someone's found a fix for this I'd love to hear it...

Re: System won't shut down

Some bad chips have been mixed in this batch but the good powerboard which was labeled extra is almost a definite good to go. This is the last batch of these chips to be used in anything else I will make going forward since they are not being made anymore. Send me an email and I can send you a new ...

Re: System won't shut down

Yes I am powered through the power board, it does not power down when connected via USB-C and when running on battery. The only way to power it down is by using the power button. This is an issue that some powrboards are causing. Seems a few bad dual-fet chips are the culprit. Send me an email and ...

Re: Helders board

Ok is the pi still soldered onto the controller? if not take a good picture of the pad so I can have a look and then show you what to do. If you did solder it to the Pi let me know as well so I can see what we might be able to do.

Re: MintyPi Troubleshooting?

Already answered this in an email he sent, basically it was the wrong MintyPi image used. You need the one on the mintyPi v3 Wiki Page.

Re: Shutdown words not going away.

So you're powering from the battery and not from any usb wires? If it hangs at the shutdown screen hold down the powerbutton for a few seconds, if it's constantly hanging on this screen during shutdown take a picture of the text (something legible not a blurry picture) so we can see what is making i...

I'm having the same problem. I hope this gets figured out
Did you do the continuity tests I mentioned above? 99% of the time it's your soldering, either a weak GND or more often than not it's the 5v GPIO is not properly soldered.

Re: Helders board

Did you check the right pad to GND before resoldering the pi? If there is continuity you likely did what the original poster did and put too much force into the GPIO with a sharp tip iron and it went through the pad and into the GND plane on the other side of the board since these boards are super t...

Re: MintyPi V3 Crackling noise from speaker and headphones

I see flux residue all around the pi GPIO. Get some soft brush like an old tooth brush and soak it in alcohol and clean it off and try to get it in between the pi and pcb. Might have to use some compressed air to get the alcohol in between the boards then let it dry out and see if it changes anythin...
