Re: Custom Orange-Pi Portable
Nice to see a distinctively non-Nintendo take. Yet it still looks like an early 90's handheld. Very cool. But. The teal/yellow colour scheme... I hope that's just for the render? :? Haha, yeah; it's my default while modeling for ease of viewing. I originally wanted to cut this out of a beautiful sl...

Custom Orange-Pi Portable
I call it... The RETRO BRO! While my two GBZ builds are nearing completion, I began to play around with the next project: Making a portable from scratch based around the potent Orange Pi PC! Because of the size I need to CAD up a new housing, and to support dual analog sticks for N64/PSX etc. I thus...

Re: Orange Pi PC
Got my OPi PC running without issue or difficulty. Runs everything flawlessly up through N64 and PSX, though there was a slight lag while trying out Armored Core. I'm working on a fully custom portable, but need to figure out a PSU. Anyone have info on power draw or possibly Li-Po battery boosters? ...

Re: How to go about wiring PWM audio?
Hey, I'm also doing a build with PWM audio with a headphone jack, kitsch-bent mono amp and a diy low-pass filter. Here is my complete wiring.

Re: Compact and affordable 3d printer Kickstarter
I'm no expert in 3d printing.. Maybe others can answer that question. But this Kickstarter is raising a lot of funds. Now the question is: it's just because it's on Kickstarter (a lot of stuff there is already on the market for quite some time, it just gets a good publicity on that platform) or is ...

Re: RC Lawnmower
hahahaha the fact is I understand the electronics but I've never soldered iron and metal and I'm afraid to do it wrong. A gameboy zero is simple but an iron shell?? I don't know... Well, you can't solder iron, but you can weld it which is an entirely different skillset. But you don't need to know h...

Re: Looking for DSLite membrane dimensions.
Edge to edge, the farthest distance of the contacts. center to center would be 14mm for the D-Pad and 15mm for ABXY

Re: Looking for DSLite membrane dimensions.
I've got you covered, note that these are taken from the PCB contact points which cover the maximum distance of the pads you show; the actual conductive pad is slightly smaller.
D-Pad:
Y Dimension: 18mm
X Dimension: 4mm
ABXY:
Y Dimension: 20mm
X Dimension: 5mm

Literally the only thing I can think of right now... http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/mp/yzzkZDkpMS3l.gif Kidding aside, a quick perusal of Pinterest will net you a variety of results. But basically, you'll need to construct steering (cable or rack and pinion), throttle control servo and possibly a r...

Re: Screen Covers
I just went to TAP Plastics and got a sheet of 1/32" polycarbonate for a couple bucks, and traced it with the screen cover that came with my aftermarket case, put some black double-sided tape and it's good to go. Any pics of the results? I just gave away the ones with tape (tricky to get an even bo...
