I have a gameboy color Pikachu edition that I can probably model a new pcb from once I get the dimensions but I highly doubt this board will fit in the GBC since the DMG is bigger.

You could use a bus switching IC but you would need to have a custom pcb or a ton of wires. These ICs can switch a bunch traces like from the cart or buttons to either the original system or the Rpi0. It's definitely a possibility but I want to get these out to people first then setup a third batch.
Seems that someone is planning a group buy of my version boards from OSHPark so can probably be an option for you if you don't want to wait.

I also uploaded them to oshpark.com before I put them up for sale but the price for 3 boards is rather high but if people don't want to wait for me to get stock that's a somewhat expensive alternative.

I'm assuming Friday it will be shipped out of China and get here the following Wednesday but this an assumption and will only know once I get a notification email from them.
Please be patient as I can't make things go any faster.

So a bit of an update. First batch is getting shipped tonight so hopefully by Friday I'll have them but if not Monday is a definite.

All sold out of 2nd batch except for the few boards I plan to offer to people outside the USA.
