[Interest Check] GBA-SP msAIO
Hi Everyone, I'm checking interest in a "mostly-super-All-In-One" board for the GBA SP. I'm including the "mostly" qualifier because it does not include quite as many pieces as kite's SAIO, but it is still pretty super in that it fits perfectly within a GBA SP. To see details on the board, see my po...

Re: SP Zero: Parts Options for Screen, Battery, PCB, etc..
the PCB codeman is building seems like it won't ever leave his shed because he thinks it'll be too expensive for anyone else to want. it's probable that someone else will try and make one without some of the fancy features he's included.... ;) I'm actually still working on the board, trying to get ...

Re: Progressive scan on composite
Worked better for me as well! Thanks for that. Although I'm still not satisfied with the "static" and harshness of the refresh rate on this Version 8 screen... Can you maybe start a new question thread about this? It would be helpful to see detailed pictures of your driver board, and the connection...

Re: GBA SPi-Zero with custom AIO board [Battery Update]
Did you replace components, or just remove and solder together? Can you talk a little more about this process and how it's done, I'm undertaking a GSP Pi Zero and very interested making the board super thin like yours! 8-) I actually made a guide in the hardware section describing the Variant 9 boa...

Re: PI ZERO SP BUILD LOG
How do you find the quality of the refresh rate? I just installed the Version 8 BW screen and I find the screen hurts my eyes on mostly black screens. Are you running in 240i? Try changing to 240p. Interlaced is the default, but it flickers like crazy, hurts my eyes too. It gets much better...

Re: Mechanical Soft Shutdown
Could be very handy for some people. I would definitely step down to 3.3V if the output from the power boost is 5V. Better safe than sorry, and is very easy to do with a simple voltage divider. Is the GPIO15 output a part of the UART? I know many say that these stay high until the Pi is almost compl...

Re: what do you do for a living?
I'm an electrical engineer as well, working in the medical IC design industry. We build chips and systems for CT, ultrasound, and all sorts of other things. I end up doing a lot of circuit board design for work. My hobby is basically the same as what I do for work...maybe I should branch out a littl...

Re: GBA SPi-Zero with custom AIO board [Battery Update]
So I want add onto this build but I'm having such a hard time doing so lol. Basically I want to be able to add on an aux port so you can have head phones for it and I want to keep the mini HDMI from the pi zero w so I could hook this up to my living room TV and play on it. I understanding that I'm ...

Re: Retro pie aspect ratio or custom display size
Thanks for the quick reply. I messed with the overscan a little and it works but only in the boot interface and not when emulation station boots up. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I'm making some progress although slow cause there doesn't seem to be too many people trying to a...
