GPIO input + external joypad
I had to fight with this for a while but I figured it out and wanted to save everyone else the pain! If you're using GPIO for input (this may apply for the Teensy as well) and want to have a joypad connected via USB so you can have two players, you need to make a couple of edits to the retroarch.cfg...

Re: volume wheel with gameboy pi
Hey guys, I was doing my build a little bit differently and i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out on how i would be able to hook up this volume wheel with the raspberry pi zero http://www.ebay.com/itm/Volume-Sound-Speaker-Control-Wheel-Tools-for-Nintendo-Game-Boy-Color-GBC-ZVMA618-/291...

Re: SMAKN 2.5 Amp Wire Question
I believe I would connect R+ and R- to to my head phone jack with would match your amp's + and - connections. The 5+ and Ground would connect to the breakout board. What about A+ and A-? Not sure what this relates to for my amp? So for the Adafruit amp I just connected the left channel from the hea...

Cannikin's GBZ
Done! Well, mostly. Some customizations over wermy's original: 640x480 VGA screen Better speaker Kept a large part of the original circuit board Kept original Ext Connector plug, but covering a USB port instead (see below) Kept original DC barrel jack for power and found a USB cable with that connec...

I've got photos and videos in another thread: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 2347#p2347Retrohead95 wrote:What's the quality of the screen like? Is it worth the $100? I have the adafruit screen and I'm deciding if I should just delay the build a bit and get this one?

Re: Slight power issue: unplugging headphones resets Pi!
A diode protects against voltage flowing back one way and it also lowers the the actual voltage flowing through it so not sure that's what you want. I was referring to power on the amp but if that's where the amp connects to then yes. Oh so you'd actually have it on the amp? I was expecting it to g...

Re: Actual wiring diagram
Can you please tell me more about the sound card... were did you buy it and how its working?? It's this little guy: http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-External-Adapter-Windows-AU-MMSA/dp/B00IRVQ0F8 $5 and works great! Just needs a config file set on the Pi and then it works like charm: https://learn.ada...

Re: Slight power issue: unplugging headphones resets Pi!
So no need for a diode in there, just a cap between PP1 and PP6 on the back of the Pi?Helder wrote:Maybe a 10uf cap from power to ground to stabilize the power spike, if the 10uf holds out then maybe lowering the value of the capacitor a bit till you find that sweet spot.

Re: Slight power issue: unplugging headphones resets Pi!
Having the same issue but had not researched why. Thank you and interested in alternate solutions as well! I would imagine a capacitor or two along the lines that power the Pi would be able to provide a little extra juice to cover that power dip while the amp starts up...but unfortunately my raw el...

Slight power issue: unplugging headphones resets Pi!
So I've run into an interesting power issue...I've got the Adafruit speaker amp and it's ground wire runs through the headphone contact switch: plugging in headphones removes power from the amp completely so that it's not drawing power at all. The problem is that when I remove the headphones, and th...
