Oh. I misunderstood. I thought you meant you could see the entire SD card file system instead of only the folders that they allow you to see.
I wish!

Re: Batteries and circuit protection

It seems that battery safety is a top concern in your build. I may have already mentioned this in Discord already, but consider using a single lithium ion cell as supposed a pack of individual cells. A single cell is inherently less complex and you only have to worry about one cell suffering a catas...

Re: Anyone using Retropie 4.0?

I made my SD card accessible from the outside, so I've been routinely capturing images of the card in case of corruption so I don't lose my saved games =). I also made a backup image before upgrading to 4.0 just in case. How do you do this? https://goo.gl/photos/QtxNYvNt4dce3gZU6 I don't have acces...

Re: Anyone using Retropie 4.0?

My first comment about Retropie 4.0 is that the default Font size they are using in Emulation Station is significantly smaller than what they were using in 3.x, making the ROM lists completely illegible on a 320 x 240 screen. Anyone know how to adjust the font size in Emulation Station to what it w...

Re: Using 4 rechargable Li-po AA batteries

That would work assuming the boost circuit can supply the necessary current at that voltage.

Re: DW93's Non OEM GBZ Build [Complete]

Nice job! What kind of run time are you getting with your battery?

Re: Using 4 rechargable Li-po AA batteries

3x AA NiMH in series would be 3.6V which is the same voltage as lithium batteries. If you used the Powerboost Basic, one could take advantage of the low battery LED that turns on at 3.2V. 4x AA NiMH in series would be 4.8V. The spec for the powerbank IC that @Blezio linked has an input voltage of 4....

Re: Using 4 rechargable Li-po AA batteries

One could use 3 x NiMH AA batteries in series with a powerboost basic. The batteries would need to be removed from the GBZ and charged separately though.

Anyone using Retropie 4.0?

I just noticed that Retropie 4.0 was released a few days ago. Has anyone updated their GMZ to 4.0 yet? Any issues?

Re: Full VGA resolution (640x480) 3.5" display, composite in

@lookitsneil I tested the screen and it draws about 390 mA which does sound a little high to me. I also have a BW screen but haven't tested it yet. Maybe someone can chime in with current draw of the BW and Adafruit screen? Edit: According to the Adafruit website the current draw of their 3.5" scree...
