The audio issues has something to do with the way you setup the low pass filter, audio amp, potentiometer, & speaker i guess.
Here's mine, i followed b:
Power and the low pass filter on the left side of the audio amp.
Very loud and clear for me.

Had a play with this today, a few issues I ran into Tested on a Pi Zero with PWM audio on GPIO 18. With 18 disconnected the system runs fine, connected it will pause. it was a little hard prying up the screen case since there were no screws.
You just have to re-seat again yours. Be careful with the thin plastic that locks the ribbon.

So i've taken apart the BW screen from Amazon and converted it to run off of 5v and after getting it glued into place the screen displays a white image. I think the categories under Game Boy Zero and MintyPi deserve some more specific subforums like the Hardware and Software under Other Projects since most users discuss these two wonderful projects more than the others. These two should standout. Like: Software - RetroPie - Recalbox - Guides - etc.....

Ok so something weird just happened. I ran the command /usr/local/bin/retrogame again and it worked. I have no idea what changed or what happened.
