PS. if you have a spare board, i'd gladly take one of your hands (bare or populated) i'm aware of Helder on Oshpark, but that requires too much wiring to be done ...

I’ve used PowerBoost 1000 Basic with my pi3 builds

It just works fine, No powering issues.
And i use the Tp4065 for charging because the adafruit one doesn’t have charging features

Yea I tried that lcd too but couldn't get it going using a known driver for it too. What driver did you use on it? Maybe I can get it working better and share the info. I've used ili9341 driver but with custom init code. I followed this tutorial at the bottom of the page https://www.instructables.c...
