I think you are confusing one of the teensy's analog inputs for its power input. It must receive power from a stable 5V source. Your voltage divider is going to output a voltage that will CHANGE. Teensy can't handle that high of voltage. It should get connected to +5v after the step down. Ground doesn't matter.
