Re: Chedda's #3 gameboy pi build

How far did you cut? To the test pads or to the through holes? To the first 4 and including solder points of USB (both of them). That way right after those I have two sets of 4 points so I have 2 USBs left. I have not done the cut yet, need to get my parts and plan the internal layout first. But I ...

Re: Chedda's #3 gameboy pi build

Ive even cut the board until there is only one set of USB contacts to use :) Even smaller that way and I don't need 4 USB-s. 2 is enough. (one for expandable storage and accesories and the other for an external connection. How far did you cut? To the test pads or to the through holes? To the first ...

Re: Momentary Buttons instead of PCB Buttons

What switches did you get?

Because if they are the regular ones they will not fit that way. Button is not wide enough so it will not be able to press it. I've done from the other side of the PCB with glue and then just shaved off the tip that went through the whole I've made in the middle.

Re: Momentary Buttons instead of PCB Buttons

Hei! I've made one with those. Will be getting a new 3.5" screen for that build and using raspberry pi zero. Yep, they are too thick and that's the main reason why my whole project stopped. If I want to use RPi 3 with a big battery and a 640x480 screen it's a must for me to use the silicone ones. Bu...

Re: Mounting Bracket Hitting Screens Board

Hi! Life happens so long time no see :) Anyway. I would suggest to cut away that part or just simply mount it upside down. Because screen is flipped in the config file when your build is all finished you can make two scripts. One for flipping it one way and another for flipping it another. You can t...

Re: PortaMAME - Arcade in a Briefcase

Thanks @Mad_Duke and @alien0matic! [off-topic] @Mad_Duke Probably will not suit your taste but with a simple design like the vigolox , you can get started in your full sized arcade cabinet in no time. :D [/off-topic] Well. Actually, my design is not far off from this one. But it will have a CRT 32"...

Re: Powerboost alternative that has 2A output?

For high output like my GameBoy Pi3 im using a power bank that can supply upto 2.1A, My guess is to use a board from a power bank. since adafruit has not made one yet :? Yep. Powerboost alternative that has 2A output?

Hi guys.

Anybody have any advice?

Decided to go with tactile switches instead of the regular ones in my GBZ so my current battery doesn't fit anymore.
