@Shoots I have the same board and that is not where you should wire it. That IC is not the regulator. Your IC and the main square IC must be heating up quite a bit These are the voltages for 12v and 5v. I have hooked 3.3v to point labelled 3.3v in 12v image. This runs the display well. Unfortunately...

Can you try changing the yellow wire to the other pin (one on the left)?
EDIT : Also what are the pins K6 on the video board. Have you checked the wiring? If there is text on the other side of the video board a photo might help

One problem would be that you are running it on a too high resolution. I would suggest you scale it down. 640x480 sounds good for emulation.

Hey guys i just ordered this display PD035VX2 and the seller accepted 70$ including shipping. Lets see how it turns up. Is vga that much better than composite or you compromising the hdmi?
