Re: FlashyFrank's 2nd GBZ Build

ha. that's the same kit i got off amazon that i did my first build on. it gives you a frustrating mix of parts - speaker, but no headphone jack or pot. screen bracket, but no button wells, and no button drill guide. no switch, or screen alignment guide, and nothing for mounting the stuff onto like t...

Re: Another screen problem :(

i think you need to get a better picture of the chips with legs on them. it may not seem like it, but there are chip codes printed on them, if you can get the zoom and angle/light just right, you can get a picture of them on your phone, but it's not easy. it might be that that size screen doesn't do...

Re: Charging/Power Lights. How have you done them?

Yeah, I’ve tried both other approaches.. soldering leds in is pretty easy, since you don’t have to desolder the onboard ones for it to work, if you have space to put them. Shining the light thru the case is ok too. Worked pretty well on the white case I used, with the powerboost mounted at the top, ...

Re: Screen problem

Once I did that, I googled around with those various numbers till I found the schematics for 2013s which looked pretty promising, with 5v on it. Multimeter tests...

Re: Screen problem

I got a few of these too since they were running on special on amazon. The pin you want is pin 2 on the 2013s chip.

Re: Charging/Power Lights. How have you done them?

Hi there. Any updates to your fibre optic solution? I am just about to start the build and have the same issue. I'd prefer to have the status leds visible... I’m actually doing fiber on my build and it works pretty good (in test so far). It allows me to bring the leds from the powerboost, mounted i...
