Just try it out with a cheap one and remove it with nail polish remover or acetone if it does not look good. This destroys the case. Definitely not very recommended Wow, thank you for this! Can't help with the text size I'm afraid, however the screen phasing you mentioned can be fixed with a jumper wire:

Ok, so decided to take the plunge, and hooked up the divert wire without removing the chip, and it works! No more phasing, seems to be just fine!

Hopefully this will be helpful for someone else out there with a v7.
