I don't have a recommendation of what to use but I will say do not get the ones that are shaped like AA batteries that have massively larger capacities as these may start off with a greater charge they quickly no longer hold a charge.

What issues are you running into specifically?

Could you make a full wiring diagram I get how you have most of it wired, however would love to see it in full.

How did you wire up front case buttons Home/Power/was tv used?
