Re: Minty Pi button sizes

The plate has insets into which the buttons slot. They shouldn't be able to spin. Either the buttons are missing the prong that slots with the faceplate or the faceplate is damaged. Can you post pictures so we can see the issue better?

Forgot to add WiFi network to SD card

Whoops...

Is it possible to connect to the pi at all without tearing the system down? Could I pair a bluetooth keyboard without anything else attached?

Re: First time building - generell questions and info?

It took me ~1.5 years was because I took a few months of break, but also had a lot of work to do. I also did lots of experimentation with 3D parts and chinese parts (which take weeks to arrive). With a Pi 3, arduino based system controller and a DPI display, the project cost me ~150 not including to...

Re: First time building - generell questions and info?

1. I've never seen a backup screen with a speaker. However, assuming it did come with a speaker, there are factors like size, impedance, shape ect. that might make them non-ideal for a project like this. 2. As far as I know, you can't use both composite and HDMI at the same time. However, I could be...

Re: Would these buttons work?

I very much doubt it. Even buttons made for DMGs, depending on the manufacturer, are imperfect. Considering you (probably) don't know the diameter of those buttons, I'd steer clear.

Also, you don't know what they look like on the other side. They likely wouldn't slot with a DMG case.

Re: CNC'd MintyPi

I use a sienci mill one. It was really easy to program the gcode. I did a 3d model of the holes I wanted offset from a known origin. I could sell them, but I'd like to perfect it first. I'm also waiting on some smaller bits which should make the holes cleaner and more accurate (the rounded rectangle...

CNC'd MintyPi

In an effort to achieve the cleanest holes ever on a mintypi, I decided to try a CNC. Before that, I'd used files and very small drill bits. Here are pictures of both: IMG_2137.JPG IMG_2138.JPG IMG_2135.JPG IMG_2136.JPG I've ordered some smaller CNC bits so I can hopefully make the cuts cleaner/more...

Re: [Completed]Sushi's GB3-Slim

It's a bit irrelevant now, but I've perfected the design (and will be releasing the STLs with this post!). I reprinted and rebuilt it with new features like: -SD card access -Larger triggers -Raised buttons -Volume wheel -Brightness wheel -Battery indicators ---Low ---Charging ---Charged IMG_0867.JP...

Diagonal screen tearing

I've seen a lot of videos regarding mintypis and gb0s (HDMI screens, specifically). I've noticed that all of them exhibit diagonal screen tearing. I at one point had an HDMI screen in hopes of using it for a build. I scrapped that idea when I got my hands on it because it tore so much (not to mentio...

Re: Collecting information on Gameboy pi 3

Practically, no because the pins are very very small. You'd need a breakout to effectively connect to the pins. It would be much easier to use a psp-1000's joystick. Technically, though, it can be done. I found this board you can buy. You'd still need to solder a connector to it (which you'd need to...
