David's #1 Gameboy (Pi3, Dual analog, Neopixel)[Update#3 Animated Neopixel charge status]
Hi, I just Thought I would share my project that is almost done. This is my first attempt at a Gameboy (Although I have some experience with electronics and 'Modding'). My first requirements for the project would be that I could play n64 and Psx games as these are the games I grew up with and the on...

Re: Help with BW screens and RPi0
My solution seems to make the screen run pretty hot. Does this board get very hot with the other technique in the wiki?onesojourner wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2017 1:30 pmAlright using a composite cable I was able to get 2 of my 3 screens working. I have only tried wiring things up like the image from the wiki. I will try your solution tonight.

Re: Help with BW screens and RPi0
Well the driver board needs ground but the pi also needs ground on the composite. The cable that comes with the screen already ties the grounds together. If you are using your own solution like i did, you have to account for this and use 2 grounds

Re: [NEW VERSION] Sota's 14 buttons + optional up to 2 analog sticks guide for a Leonardo Pro Micro (Teensy alternative)
Hi Sota I got everything working on a teensy with some minor changes to your code. works great. The only thing I am having trouble with is I did not realize that I had glued my sticks in place at a angle. They are rotated 45degrees. I have been trying to wrap my head around how you rotate the joysti...

Re: Help with BW screens and RPi0
Looking at the diagrams for the zero, shouldn't it be like this?

Re: Help with BW screens and RPi0
There are indeed 4 wires. The yellow is composite video. The 2 blacks go to ground. One on my powerboost and the other to composite ground. You are using a composite cable so you do not need 2 grounds. The grounds are already tied together. The red is 5v to the side of the resistor. You also need to...

Re: Help with BW screens and RPi0
I am not an electronics expert and I do not have the schematics, but it seems like there are some resistors before the regulator that are dropping the voltage before it arrives to the regulator. What I did was bypass the resistor AND the regulator. From your pictures you only bypassed the resistor. ...

Re: Help with BW screens and RPi0
So I did some testing with this screen. The regulator is in fact the three pinned chip up top with the number 1117. regulator.jpg Between 6v and 9v the regulator throws out around 3.31v. The first thing I did was to link the the input and output pins on the regulator, but at 5.2v(using powerboost 10...

Re: Sota's Game Pi 3 / Raspberry Boy 3 [Raspberry Pi 3 Game Boy] (Completed!)
Hi, Great build. It inspired me in many ways. the only question I have is how did you get the battery cover to close properly afterwards? I cannot really figure it out from your photos. I was planning to use magnets to replace the latch, but the sd card will be protruding from that side and having n...
