Re: [SOLD OUT!] mintyPi PCB Combo & LCD
I'm going to be the Cliché poster, but just making a post so that it stickys to my "Your Posts" tab so that I can keep an eye on this. After seeing Wermy's build, I kinda wished I had bought into this project. Looks cool, and since I've built 3 other GameBoy Zero's and have pre-ordered Kites latest ...

Re: What gameboy zero to build?
They keep getting easier and easier to build. I've built three so far. A Wermy-hybrid. Basicly like the original he built, except I used a common ground board from Kitsch Bent. Then did a Helder 2.2 build. And just finished my Kite board v1 last night. My takeaway from this is, Kites will be good fo...

Wire diagram for Cambles 1.1 powerboost Safe Shutdown?
Been trying to find a wiring diagram for Cambles 1.1 version of the Safe Shutdown Powerboost version. I've got both 1.1 and 1.2. I bought the 1.2 version because the 1.1 version wouldn't safely shutdown my GBZ. Second version does work. But I have my first build of a GBZ without a safe shutdown swit...

Re: Started my Kite build. Board makes hissing sound
Okay. Well, problem found. I worked my way backwards testing everything. Used a multimeter, desoldered, resoldered, worked my way back to the board with the volume pot, and then worked my way clear back to the start with the USB cable to power the board. What it turned out to be was a low powered US...

Re: Started my Kite build. Board makes hissing sound
Is that the jumper where you can do either 5v or 3v3, right next to each other?

Re: Started my Kite build. Board makes hissing sound
Just so I'm correct, solder a bridge between these two pins, as shown in red? I looked at the pinout online, will that cause any issues? Looks like one is 3v3, and the other 5v?

Re: Started my Kite build. Board makes hissing sound
Traced it back to the power switch. While the switch "worked" it must not have been making 100% connection? I desoldered the wires and touched them together. About 40% of the time, it would hiss with the power led dim, and the 60% of the time it wouldn't hiss and all 3 LEDs bright. So must not have ...

Re: Started my Kite build. Board makes hissing sound
Well crap. With the RPi removed from the board and all contacts cleaned and checked, I still get a hiss. That area gets a little warm too. And double crap, in the process of removing the RPi, I removed two pads from the GPIO. Pin 1 and GND. Now what? And I screwed? I can jumper the ground no problem...

Re: Started my Kite build. Board makes hissing sound
Are the 3x LEDs in that area one? Does it get hot? If the answer is 'Yes LEDs, No not hot' then it's fine.. If an LED is really dim or out, then it's a short one the respective power line, and if it is ON but one of the chips gets really hot, then it is a small short (the regulators have short circ...
