1) remove the chip completely

2) you have soldered to the wrong pin, see pic in link above, solder to the pad below the one you have soldered to.

Since it's not been said here, I want to mention the these type of connectors are called "JST". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JST_connector

Re: GearBest Screen video connector?

I don't know what they're called and would be interested also to learn the name.

But is removing the connector not an option? Then you can solder directly on the pads.

Re: Help formatting SD cards

What is the size of the cards? Are they over 32GB? What is the exact error message you're getting? I've used Etcher on Mac and that works for me, formats and installs Retropie all in one step. https://etcher.io Do these links help?: "how to format a write protected sd card" : https://www.easeus.com/...

Re: Soldering Questions

I just want to mention that you should buy quality solder, I had always bought from ebay and then I tried Kester solder and that solder is much shinier after melting.

Re: BW New Variant Display Overheating

Did you check if the screen worked on 5v before modifying? What about 12v, do the caps and inductor get hot then also?

Re: Helder's PWM low Pass Filter

Looks pretty good to me if you're going for the right channel. But since you're doing mono sound you don't need both PWM0 and PWM1 at the input. As far as I can tell just by looking at the pcb, leaving either PWM0 or PWM1 should be ok.

Re: Helder's PWM low Pass Filter

Thank you for your response. Do I not have to solder any resistors on to this PCB or ground it at all. Thank you for your help Besides the 270 Ohm and 150 Ohm resistors, no. You just need to solder the through hole components marked on the pcb and thats it. I think the ground on the left (where PWM...

Re: Helder's PWM low Pass Filter

I don't think you need any external components, all the components you need for the filter are on the pcb. PWM0 is GPIO18 and PWM1 is GPIO13 on your raspberry pi. You connect those directly. And if I understand it correctly the output of the filter RIGHT and LEFT go to your potentiometer.
