Re: 5 vs 6mm Tacticle Switches

I really would suggest going 6x6x6 for even the shoulder buttons. It's very tight tolerances for the 5mm and if you have even a slight imperfection in drilling or filing, barely any of the button will stick out.

Re: I pulled the SCL pad off the GPIO, also can't seem to connect ground

Hi, I was able to fix the SCL issue. I went back and found some bad connections and I think they are all fixed now. The only one left is ground which I will try tonight. I can take pictures of the iron but it's a pretty nice one with adjustable temp and it takes standard Hakko style tips. I bought a...

I pulled the SCL pad off the GPIO, also can't seem to connect ground

Hi, I have two issues related to soldering and they happen to be stacked on top of each other. All my other GPIO pins are connected and pass continuity tests. Ground - I spent over half an hour trying to get ground connected and all I managed to do is overload it with solder (I keep getting bad/cold...

Re: WTB: PCM2704 USB sound card for minty Pi

Hi, thanks for the generous offer but I am very unconfident in my soldering skills so I am really worried I won't be able to get it mounted. I'd rather have you send it to a pro who can fix it and put it to use.

Hi, is the wiring diagram in the first post still accurate for the latest guide (Helder's new board/screen)?

WTB: PCM2704 USB sound card for minty Pi

Hi, I am looking for a PCM2704 USB DAC sound card for a mintyPi project. I ordered one weeks ago from China (through eBay) and who knows when it'll get here. I got other parts from China and they arrived a week ago. There's no tracking as you can imagine. Anyway, they seem to be in limited supply fr...

Re: Help, tactile Switches

Can I double check that these 6x6 (base) x 5 mm tall (including buttons) referenced in this thread are the correct ones? I ordered 10 from China and they arrived but when I look at how much the button protrudes and the wall thickness of the Altoid's tin, I can't imagine much of it is going to poke t...
