Re: Baylex - 1st Gameboy Zero - No AIO

Watching this one. I haven't diagrammed out how all my audio will work yet. Let's see what the resident experts have to say. :)

I have briefly played with it. It's quicker loading for sure, and has a PS3 style interface. The system loads read only so in theory you can just switch off when your done without damaging the SD card
Wait, read only? Does that mean no save states or saving to cartridges?

Re: Grimsgiver givers GBZ update

I like the buttons! Are they the two part ones or did you gut a controller for them?

Anyone use Lakka?

When I was researching RetroPie I found out about Lakka which is supposed to load much faster because it is stripped down (less emulators). I'm only planning on GB, GBC, maybe GBA, Game Gear, Genesis, NES and SNES. Doubtful I will do any MAME, and if I did it wouldn't be anything hardcore. NEO-GEO m...

Re: shesaysidontlisten GBZ First Build Log [WIP]

You're missing tact switches for L&R, and a battery. Battery! Yes! I had been mulling that one over. I don't know what will fit yet since I'm doing L/R above battery bay. I am planning to use L/R from a SNES wannabe controller. If this idea crashes and burns I will order some of those. I'm planning...

Re: shesaysidontlisten GBZ First Build Log [WIP]

You might take a look at https://www.deadpanrobot.co.uk also for your buttons and screen cover Being in the states the shipping can be atrocious, but I know if they have the perfect parts and I don't use them it will bother me. A few more parts came today like the gamepads I'm going to gut. I am st...

Re: Help with BW Variant 12V to 5V [Wermy GBZ]

I hope you got it working by now.. Me too, I just got this board for my build. I understand from your photo the ground and power going to pi and screen from the power strip. My confusion is the wiring from screen to pi, but it just might be the color thing. The thin red line is the original yellow ...

Re: Baylex - 1st Gameboy Zero - No AIO

Did you gut a SNES controller for the buttons? I went to buy a used one today and didn't realize they are about $15-17!

Does the Leonardo pro take the place of a Teensy?

Looking forward to your build!
