i just recently had an idea for a pretty cool project. you know how the Gameboy Camera only has space for 30 images? well, I was thinking, what if you remove the big, bulky camera, and put the whole PCB with the ROM chip and the components, into a custom made case, that is big enough to store it? would it work without the camera connector in? the whole idea is that you have a small, low profile, (smaller than the Gameboy Camera itself) cartridge that you could store photos on. it would be great to use instead of buying a pricey Bit Boy or printing out all your photos on tiny, stamp sized pieces of paper. It would also be cool if instead of a battery backup, the Storage Pak could use flash memory. I know that you could just use a flashcart with the Gameboy Camera ROM on it, but i think it would be cooler and less expensive than getting one WITH backup battery or flash memory built-in.
as this is my first post, it would be appreciated if anyone could help me with this project! images and project updates will be posted every single time something happens. thanks!
