This is completely amazing. I think I drooled on my phone.

I honestly don't know if I like the black or grey more. They both look great!

What is the point of the battery plate? Are you wanting them to be swappable so you can carry a second one?

Pretty much. The LiPo is the most likely component to need replaced, so it seemed like a good idea to have a proper battery compartment. Plus it makes the device feel a little less 'handmade', which is one of my main design goals. And lastly (and most importantly), it just never occurred to me *not* to have a removable battery. :lol:

Hi, that's a nice looking project! Do you have any updates on this? What kind of button PCB's are you going to use? I've been planning to make something similar like this after i finish my custom Game Boy project, that has a Raspberry Pi 3 and a 3D printed case. (i made a post about it, if you want to take a look) I suggest you put a stripped Pi3 in there, the extra power is really worth it (i would do it ;) ) I also think that analog sticks aren't really that necessary, well maybe for n64 but not for PS1 emulation!
