12v to 5v mod

Hi guys, i was really intrigues by wermy's project on youtube. Decided to get all custom parts to start building my own GBZ.
Heres the twist, I have no background on the software or hardware. I have ordered all the parts in(hopefully) and starting to do some soldering.
1st issue i encounter
Got this car camera screen from aliexpress. Never seen it in any of the sudomod archive for this model.
Need help on 12v to 5V mod. Any kind souls pls!!!
2nd tested my Pi zero, was running alright.after connecting it as per wermy "custom parts gbz", the pi LED doesn't light up anymore! Disconnected all the soldered wire cables and tested but still no light.
