Piboy macro in a n3DS

Post by Marco24 » Thu Oct 12, 2017 1:17 pm

Hey everybody,

I’m currently working on cramming a pi3 in the bottom half of a n3DS. To put it simply, the space is tight, so I was looking for some help if anybody is willing. Im trying to keep all button functionality including the c-stick as well as build a unit that can handle up to at least n64.

I’m trying to make a modified housing that adds a little more depth but doesn’t make it crazy thick. I’d also like to eliminate the goofy bezel around the screen and the hinges to make the top completely flat. 3D modeling hasn’t been my strong suit so if your interested in helping, it would be much appreciated!

Well, these are some rough mock-ups but this is what i'm going to attempt cramming a pi3 into. I'd love to hear your thoughts, and i'm open to color scheme ideas. Image

I've actually seen this thread, and it's an amazing project so far to follow. My only gripe is the size, there seems to be quite a few Switch style Pi's that are just huge, and while i know the smaller handheld style isn't for everybody, I think it'd be nice to give it a shot and show how cool a smaller version of this could be!
