Can I use this battery in this way?

I am going to start a proyect, but I am not sure if I can do this.

I want to use the same battery as Banjokazookie

But I want to use 6 of these batteries in parallel (Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh). I have the Tp4056 charger and the adafruit 1000 basic powerboost.

I don't know if I need some protection or I have to use something to balance the batteries.

One last question, these batteries will fit inside the battery bay of a game gear or these batteries are bigger?

Read this post about parallel batteries.

These batteries are 18650 which means 18mm diameter, 65mm long. This very bigger than normal AA !

Thanks, nice post. :D

I understand from your post that, it's like a big cell, no need of monitoring. I only need to control the charge (low/high battery level).

Two more questions.
Can I charge & play with TP4056?
Can you recomend me some batteries to fit in game gear battery bay? (With protection like the panasonic)

Tp4056 won’t allow you to play charge at the same time.
It does only charging.
The only UPS style board i have found so far with a small form factor is this one
http://s.aliexpress.com/BB7jEJBN

It has built in charge discharge ability at the same time.

For your AA size batteries, you can go with 14500 batteries but depending on the provider, they have slight different sizes that will actually not fit a AA tray....
Some of them may but unless testing or having acurate measurements, you won’t know.

Or you can go NimH batteries, normal AA size but then you will need to go with another module and i don’t know a UPS like module for nimH

I will order that charger.

If I use this battery:

I will need to add a protection circuit? Or I should look for a battery with that circuit integranted like this one:

Take the one without protection, it will fit better in the tray and also because the charging board has a 1S protection.
You are planning to make a 1S4P which means 1 cell in serie (that means only one cell) and 4 cells in parallel.
Parralel charging does not need balancing except as described in my topic for the first charge. You charge individually, control that you have not difference from voltage and connect them...
After that, you have one battery. And the protection corcuitry from the charging board is designed to protect one cell, and you will have one cell, but a big one lol

Thank you very much for all this help.

I will change the connections because by default it's a serie circuit. I had to buy some nickel strip.
