Does anybody have any knowledge of this item?

It looks really cool but has been in pre-order state for the past month and a half I have been watching it. When I email and ask when it will be available it is always “real soon, you better place your order now to make sure you get one.....”

One place on the website says available 4th quarter 2017, another says 1st quarter 2018....

Smells like vapor ware to me. But it looks really cool!

I reaaally like this form factor and size and really tempted to buy it. My wife is going to kill me, I already ordered lots of gear, displays and a vmu board this month

I really like the idea of it but man, only 2 buttons kind of kills it for me. :\

Why would you do that...

The size is pretty great but it just misses the mark for me. The curvy shape makes the left analog stick jut out weirdly and the HMDI port ends up sticking out too. He should just make it flat.
If he put the Start and Select buttons on the other side opposite the AB buttons, you could use the analog sticks as X and Y instead, not ideal but at least they'd be there.
And the branding all up the back is a bit much.
