I tested the new capacitors, and though the voltage is much higher (2.5V), it's not the 5V I'm expecting. I'm going to test another battery before I order a redesigned PowerCastel. I suspect the battery might be bad because just the load of the PowerCastel drops its voltage to 0.7V.

The redesigned PowerCastel is slightly larger, but incorporates everything from the PowerBoost 1000C.

I've finished a SoundCastel! It successfully pushed 3.7 watts through a DS Lite speaker. This was probably not a good idea because the speaker vibrated more than it made sound and got too hot to touch. I'll lower the volume next time, but I'm very happy with the results at the moment. I'll be testing the new battery tomorrow for the PowerCastel tomorrow, though I'm thinking I may not even need 5V for the build. Every castel module I've built so far is 3.7V tolerant, and the Pi & screen will also work off of 3.7V. I may just use the same battery charger used in the MintyPi for simplicity.

I've had success with the USB hub and audio amp. I have not had success with the PowerCastel v1 (and haven't tested v2) nor the 32u4Castel (because one of the ICSP pins was incorrectly mapped). I plan on revising these two designs and adding a BacklightCastel (for high voltage backlights).

Update: I have revised the 32u4Castel.

The new PowerCastel also works nicely. I'll update the git repo soon.
