What are your favourite controller buttons???

Hi all, I'm planning on making a custom usb/bluetooth gamepad for general emulation and perhaps use on consoles if I can manage it. The buttons I'm planning on putting onto this gamepad are;

- 4/6x right hand face buttons,
- a d-pad,
- two thumbsticks,
- two shoulder buttons a side, preferably triggers rather than tacs but I'm flexible,
- start/select/hotkey,
- any others anyone might suggest.

I really wanted to get a sense on what people's favourites were, so please! Let me know what your standout favourite controller buttons are, it'd be greatly appreciated!
