Ti-Pi Emulator (Completed)

Hey Everyone! I have been working on this for a little while, but I wanted to show everyone my Raspberry Pi Zero W emulator inside a Ti-83 plus graphing calculator! I still need to add some finishing touches like a battery (hopefully get it in the mail tomorrow tomorrow) along with a speaker . I'm 14 and this is one of my first builds (besides my Mintypi). So this is a big accomplishment for me. Everything fits inside the calculator housing although it is not shown in the pictures. Of course a external controller is not necessary because some of the calculators buttons have been reconfigured though the GPIO pins. If you have any questions feel free to ask! Constructive criticism is always welcome!

Edit: Video briefly show casing the pi, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ct8L3GOR0Y

Sweet jesus! That's awesome. How are you getting the button input into the pi?

In place of a Teency I just soldered everything to the GPIO pins and used Adafruits retrogame to configure it all. Instead of trying to explain how the controller works I will just leave this image for reference. I will post a demo when I get the battery for this thing. Thanks for the intrest and have a good day. :D

so are you decoding a key matrix or is there a chip between the keypad and the pi? (or have you just picked out a few individual keys to activate...)

I just found a common ground between all of the keys, then I soldered the other end into the Pi. Really simple idea, nothing complicated.

so they are individually accessed. nice and easy. i would have thought it was like a matrix keypad. (even the button pad on an original gameboy is a small matrix! for all 8 buttons. 2x4, to save a whopping 2 data lines
