SEGA Game Gear PCB Project w/Pi3
Hello! Starting a project with a Game Gear for a Pi3. Already fitted bad screen with zero issues (why it says TEST) and wanted to make my own PCBs for the buttons, with ABXY drill guides and the ability to add AIO bits if I can ever master PCB software and get gud at circuit designs. Here are the results of my first iteration after a night of measuring with calipers and Inventor. Willing to absolutely share the .IPT and .STL files with anyone also interested in doing this and totally willing to let someone else actually make the PCB layouts because I don't know EAGLE yet lol.

Interior shot of PCB placeholders. Please ignore the purple mess; I use a gluestick on my build mat to make sure prints NEVER lift, but was too excited to wash it.
ABXY PCB, buttons are spaced down 20mm on center to mirror the upper two on the indent.
DPAD PCB, with LED hole.
Enjoy!

Re: SEGA Game Gear PCB Project w/Pi3
Interested in the progress. Looks promising! Can't really help with the pcbs though. I've always been interested in a gamegear build! Nice work.

Sticking to this, i’d like to build one too, so i’m interested!
Forget the analog stick and keep the device as stock as possible...

Thanks!
Here's the link for the DPAD PCB
Here's the link for the ABXY PCB
I updated them slightly tonight, I'll reprint and retest tomorrow.

I'm afraid I'm not good enough with cad to do anything useful with STLs, can you provide a vector drawing of the shape you want? Ideally in DXF, or even a bitmap will do (if you provide measurements).

No, unfortunately I haven't. I did get button layouts for Eagle from 32teeth, but I haven't imported my DXF's into Eagle and started to do the traces and whatnot yet.
