RetroPie 360 Project
I have just completed my RetroPie in an xbox 360 case. I did abit of a search online and have seen plenty of people doing this with old retro consoles but I did not want to touch my working NES/SNES and I had this xbox still which has a stuffed mainboard (Red ring of death)
The idea was to keep it all looking like a normal xbox360 from the front, which I think it does except the memory cart port USB.
Parts:
Xbox 360 case
Raspberry Pi 3
8GB Sandisk MicroSD
Belkin Powered USB 2.0 hub
2.5" 500gb Hard drive in the original xbox HDD caddy (All roms loaded on the HDD)
cat5e Network socket
HDMI extender cable
Power switch wired to the Pi and USB hub + 5v 4amp Power Supply
2x red LED's - Permanent red ring
2x Xbox 360 corded controllers
Hot Glue, so much Hot Glue
From the back I have access to the SD card (doesnt look the best but it works) Also remove HDMI, 5V power plug with off switch and remote network port.
As this xbox suffered the red ring of death I though it would be fitting to setup a red LED.
Looks pretty cool with the lights off.
Now that this is finished I can concentrate on the Game Boy Zero project.
