Hey that's a good idea.
I would design this, but at the moment I an working on the screen surround and also I would have to find a someone to print them out.
I like the idea of printed button wells, it would be a simple drill and stick button modification! The buttons and conductive pads are easy to find.
I'll give it a crack when I get some time, really shouldn't be too hard. :)

@Wermy Do you know of the button well measurements or where I can get them? I might need to make some for my project as well.

My calipers say:
Outside is about 13.75mm
Walls are just a hair under 2mm thick
Walls look to be about 4mm tall (hard to measure that one)
The teeth on the buttons are right at 2mm
Buttons themselves are just a hair over 10mm

Cut a piece of paper, hold it to the side of the button well, mark the height with a pencil and measure this piece of paper :)

This is great. I originally found out about the GBZ and became interested in it. In the meantime I decided to go a different approach due to difficulties obtaining a DMG-01 case and create a SuperGameGirl instead.

I'm completing this with a friend and we're pretty much done, just needs some finishing touches on the 3D printed cases! :p

If you guys are looking for a nice bezel for the screen after its mounted, head over to my thread in the Sudomod Projects show-off corner. There is a link to the .stl file. Pictures of it are there too! PM me with any questions! I went through www.3dhubs.com to get mine printed. Only cost $10 total including shipping. I made it in Autodesk 123D. If youd like to check it out or change any dimensions I can send you the project file so you don't have to start from scratch. Super easy free software. Let me know!

Nice that sounds like a good investment of your time if you like DIY stuff like this. Mind sharing your resource for this?
