I’m thinking about making a Gameboy Null 2 in the future, and I had a question about the software. So in Ampersand‘s build guide it said that the preexisting Null 2 image wasn’t supposed to work with HD screens, and then it had this link: https://retropie.org.uk/download/. So my question is, if I burn this Retropie download link onto etcher will it work, or will I have install some scripts of code to get things like the system button working?

The Null 2 software is based on RetroPie but with some edits to allow screen, sound, keys etc to work, a stock RetroPie image wont work, there is a guide on the Null2 website on how to make your own image, I've personally tried new versions of RetroPie and to be honest, they run worse of the Pi Zero, 4.2 is the sweet spot between features/feeling/looking like the latest version and performance.

Oh okay thanks, I guess I’ll just use the custom image.
