8bitdo Controller RPi 3 with Retro Pie 4

Post by WoodMill » Mon Sep 26, 2016 12:32 pm

Anyone have one of the 8bitdo controllers working with Retro Pie 4 on a RPi 3? Ive got the NES30 controller and while I can pair the device, I cannot properly map the controls. The D-pad refuses to map. But sometimes I can scroll up and down with it while in the mapping screen instead of registering that button.

I know the steps in the guide below worked on my NES30Pro but I think some still had issues with the NES30.

Floob's guide is a good one to follow: Floob's 8BitDo Guide

Check to see what your config file for the 8Bitdo looks like. If the numbers are off by 11 from the ones below you need to do a few steps to correct. For example: input button for "A" below is "0" if yours is "11" its wrong.
