I post this here since it is not allocated to any special hardware project:

Imagine you are not at home but want to upload something to your retropie environment on your gaming device?

Happend just to me during actual public holidays.
Necessary is to run a raspberry with Wifi.

On your smartphone (I can only talk for Android) setup a mobile hotspot with wifi name and password as at your home.
Assuming your retropie wifi setup is already done to your "home" wifi! If you deal with home wifi settings you do not need to deal with another new wifikeyfile.txt!

Being connected to your mobile phone tethered wifi use the application ES File Explorer to access network and start a SFTP connection. You maybe need to read your raspberry given ip adress by checking retropie wifi page.

After starting this SSH session on the ES File Explorer you can easy copy and paste files to your gaming device.
