Is there a way to change the GPIO number after I ran the script? I accidentally set start and A as the same button as 23 and now I switch start to another pin but its acts as the same pin after I reboot.

If you have different GPIO pin assigments then you can edit the file retrogame.cfg to suit your needs.
First post of topic has all instructions.
And as I said in my post changing that did not work.

Edit /boot/retrogame.cfg

Or

"Configure Input" from emulationstation

Question: I followed another sudomod poster's wiring diagram and would like to edit my configuration. My only issue is when I try to edit my cfg file it's totally blank. I don't know if it just didn't include anything in said file or if I got a bad install file or something else entirely. Is there anyway to edit my pins or am I SOL and need to do a completely new install?

Just follow the instruction in the first post and edit Edit /boot/retrogame.cfg.

Post updated:

Method 2: Just download a RetroPie image with pre-installed Adafruit Retrogame utility.

Hello Tinkerboy,

I´ve tried your first method and there are some issues...
Buttons works in Emulatorstation, but not in the retropie "config area"...
With your second method - installing your complete image - everthing´s ok...
Whats the érror in the first method?
BTW, I´ve ordered two of your PCB´s... :-)

best regards
chris

Hi lightpixel,

What do you mean by "config area"?
