This kit was just released by Adafruit. Looks amazing

Can have 6 buttons and a joystick. Plus, they have handy plugs

Doesn't take all the GPIO headers

dayum! I saw that (just the board, not the name) appear in my youtube feed but didn't bother to investigate. looks nice! it would be even tidier if the sold it without the massive JST connectors!
