Pads under pi 3 power plug

Post by Korn16ftl3 » Sat Jan 27, 2018 12:01 am

So I bought this nespi case:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075R4D7F6/re ... BAb5NY5XAC

The only thing I don't like about it is the fact it powers the pi threw the GPIO pins and it bypasses the overload protection circuit.

I got to looking and the micro usb power port and on the bottom side I noticed it had solder pads (pictured)

Am I able to solder my ground and +5v line to 2 of these and power the pi threw the protected circuit?
