That's good to hear. I've heard nothing but good things about the 1000c. Curious on how well the alternatives perform as it's just a fraction of the cost.

Not really an indicator of reliability but rather literally what you're getting feature wise compared to how much you're paying for it.

I would use powerboost, but I have a RPi3 and I can't get around powerboost not outputing 2.5A on 5V. So my only chance is stripping down power banks that output 2A or more on at least one USB.

The Banggood power supply doesn't have a low battery monitor, and it doesn't have the EN pin to cut off all power (thereby preventing the battery from sapping while the unit is off). The lack of the EN pin has made graceful shutdown switches for this power supply more difficult; so until one comes out, you'll have to manually shut down the Pi using the QUIT menu in ES before you turn off the power.

I am wondering: Is it possible to charge the LiPo and simultaneously draw power from it (e.g. charging and playing at the same time) ?

Yes, so long as your charger can provide more than the GBZ draws, which I think is nominally like 500-600ma, so you'll need at least a 1A charger or better, and good cables. A 1 or 2A charger is worthless if you're using some cheap ass cable with 30 awg wire.
