Screen not working

Hey guys,
I just received my screen, it's the Varian 7 from the wiki. I tried the method 2 to make it run of 5V. Sadly when I connect it to my Pi Zero, like wermy did on part 1 of the last tutorial, it wont lightup. I was wondering if this means it's dead, or is there a way to test if it's still working?
