So most of my parts for my Pi SP arrived but my current screen (variant 7 in the wiki) seems just a little bit to thick due to the size of the capacitors. Therefore I need a thinner screen (Screen + PCB mounted on the back), any ideas? Adafruit one seems to be pretty thin, judging from the pictures, can anyone tell me the exact measures?
Thanks!

It's possible that the capacitor is part of the voltage regulation circuit so if you're tapping straight into the 5v then it might be superfluous to requirements. You could try desoldering it and seeing if it still works and relocating it on wires if it doesn't.

Ok i can help you what do you need to now., I have 5 screens Variant
Adafruit Screen
Variant 1
Variant 2
Variant 7
Gearbest Screen
What do you need to now from Variant 7. I can make screenshots and a video for you if you wand.
And also 7 is the best option because of his small form factor and low caps. And you have a loud of space around the screen. And also the quality is much better than the Adafruit one. Don't get me wrong. But for money and quality i suggest the Variant 7

Thanks for your input!
Will try to relocate the capacitors then, not sure how to find out wether they are needed or not, so I'd assume relocating them will be the "easy" solution
Has anyone experience with modding this screens pcb?
